Itinerary:
Day 1
Oslo
Arrival at Oslo airport

Transfer to hotel by airport shuttle.

Overnight at a 4-star airport hotel.
Day 2
Oslo-Kirkenes
Breakfast at hotel

Transfer to airport by hotel shuttle coach. Early morning departure by flight to Kirkenes near the Russian boarder in the area of Murmansk. Transfer from airport to Hurtigruten pier by coach.. At Kirkenes you will join the Hurtigruten (literally 'swift route') steamship at 12:40 and enjoy an exciting experience cruising round the top of Europe and down the coastline of Norway passing through the fjords of Northern Norway. After Berlevåg you will pass the North Cape cliff also referred as to the 'Top of Europe'. You will also experience the wonderful and unique Midnight Sun!

The meals on board offer a feast of Norwegian specialties with abundant buffets, assorted cheeses and a wide selection of desserts.

Day 3
North Cape- Hammerfest - Tromsö

Today's main attraction is the Worlds most Northern City - Hammerfest. The town is named after an old anchorage meaning anchored ship. The first element is hammer is referring to a number of large rocks, good for mooring boats, called Hamran. The last element in the word is fest, which means 'fastening' (for boats). Enjoy the magnificent scenery during the day and later on the Midnight Sun. Arrival in Tromsö, 'The gateway to the Arctic', in the evening. Tromsö is the cultural centre of the North. On the other hand, Europe's northernmost brewery Mack is located here, with its famous Artic ale - Mackol.

Day 4
Tromsö - Harstad - Svolvaer

Today is a fantastic cruise though the Lofoten that starts from the costal town of Harstad and continues the whole day until you arrive in Svolvaer early evening. Lofoten stretches like a wall of mountains to the southwest in the sea. Between the mainland and the "Lofoten Wall" lies the Vestfjord. Lofoten consists of mountains and peaks, wide open ocean, sheltered inlets, stretches of seashore and large untouched areas. This is also a habitat of whales, sea eagles/white tailed-eagles and other species of birds.

Day 5
Bodö - Rörvik

This last day on the Hurtigruten is also full of attractions. In the morning we will cross the Artic Circle. Later in the day we are passing through the beautiful Skerries cruising down from Bodö. In the afternoon you will see the famous mountain of Trollhatten and The Seven Sisters mountain formation.

Trondheim

Enjoy a full day free in Trondheim. Take a sightseeing tour or just explore town while back on shore again. Trondheim is a pleasant city with clean air, wide streets, low buildings and a compact centre. The well preserved buildings of the old harbour and the imposing Nidarosdomen (cathedral) are worth exploring.

At 16:10 departure from Trondheim by train for Dombås station. At Dombås station change of trains for the Raumabanen Railway. This is one of the most spectacular railway tours in Norway that ends at 18:56, down by the Romsdalsfjord. This train ride will give memories for years to come and some of the highlights to see are the Rauma River, Trollestigen and the Troll Wall.

Day 7
Geiranger

Early start for Coach tour driving up the Trollestigen, departure is 08.30. Trollstigen, in the heart of Romsdal, is one of the best visited attractions in Norway. The mountains which encircle the Trollstigen road are enormous. Names like Kongen (the King), Dronningen (the Queen) and Bispen (the Bishop) confirm their majesty.

Arrive at Geiranger for transfer to Hotel for an overnight stay in this magnificent fjord area protected by the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nature status. The Union Hotel in Geiranger is a family-run hotel. The current hosts represent the third and fourth generations since the Mjelva family took over in 1897.

Day 8
Geiranger - Ålesund
Breakfast at hotel

Morning free to relax or perhaps enjoy one of the short tracks in the area. Departure 13:30 from Geiranger for a 4.5 hour fjord cruise to Ålesund with the Hurtigruten Coastal Voayager. This is by far the most beautiful short cruise to experience in the world today, passing the famous Seven Sisters waterfall. Arriving at Ålesund we recommend taxi to hotel.

Day 9
Ålesund - Loen
Breakfast at hotel

Morning free for leisure in the Ålesund City. Ålesund is the perfect place to explore some of Norway's most famous natural and cultural attractions. Ålesund's beautiful Art Nouveau architecture is known far and wide. The myriad of turrets, spires and beautiful ornamentation that give the town its distinctive character are like something from a fairytale. There are also many short hiking trails near city and can be a good choice for a more close to nature experience. Express Coach for Loen departs at 15:10 from Ålesund Ruteban Station, arriving in Loen 18:35. This journey goes through nice scenic fjord areas and you will get off the coach in the small village of Loen.

Day 10
Briksdal excursion
Breakfast at hotel

Full day excursion to the Briksdal Glacier. The Glacier Bus allows you to take a day trip to Briksdalen to see the beautiful Briksdal Glacier. The Glacier bus departs from Bus Station at Loen 10:00 and will take 50 min. The Bus will wait at Briksdabreen and you will have plenty of time for a walk or a horse drawn ride in a carriage to see the Glacier. It's also possible to rent a self drive cart or join a Glacier safari. Lunch is available at the Briksdal Fjellstove. Bus will return to Loen at 14:00.

Day 11
Loen - Bergen
Breakfast at hotel

Comfortable Express Coach leaving Loen at 08:55 in the morning. The coach trip to Bergen will take 6.5 Hrs and take you along the beautiful Jolster lake and the shores of Nordfjord before crossing the Sognefjord, arrival time in Bergen 15:20. Afternoon free for leisure.

Bergen

Full day to explore Bergen. Bergen is a truly unique city, it's an old city with a young outlook located in spectacular and world-famous surroundings. Seven great mountains encircle the city and the fjords enhance the greatness of nature. Bergen is guaranteed to generate an everlasting impression. GoNordic has included the Bergen card and this will give you plenty of options to reduced admission to many of the museums and free return fare on the famous Floybanen funicular railway to Mt Floyen.

Bergen - Flåm Railway - Oslo

Starting at 08:40 from Bergen Railway station this will be you final day enjoying the fjords of Norway and the magic nature that can make Norway in a nutshell possible. It takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in Norway's fjords, where you can experience the scenic Bergen Railway, the breath-taking Flam Railway, the Aurlandsfjord, the narrow Naeroyfjord (now included on UNESCOs World Heritage List) and the steep Stalheimskleiva.

Relax on the five hour journey by train from Myrdal to Oslo. Dinner available on train.

Stockholm
After a delicious buffet breakfast, arrive back in Stockholm in the morning. We transfer you to the Arlanda airport for your onward destination.
