Itinerary:
Day 1
Arrival in Oslo- Transfer to Hotel- Oslo Sightseeing
Arrival in Oslo the capital of Norway, we transfer you to your hotel. The city is beautifully situated at the head of Oslo Fjord surrounded by forested ridges, and this very location gives Oslo unexpected qualities for a national capital. Start the day with Oslo tour which allows you to see all of Oslo’s main attractions at your own pace and convenience, with the freedom to take a break from your tour at any time to explore a sight further, or maybe go for lunch or shopping. Explore the Royal Palace, the City Hall, and the Akershus fortress. Spend some time on the Vigeland Sculpture Park.
Day 2
Norwegian Cruise - Flight to Kirkenes
After breakfast we transfer you to Oslo airport for your flight to Kirkenes. Just 10 kilometres from the Russian border, Kirkenes is one of Europe’s most remote out posts. It has fewer than 10,000 inhabitants-but its airport handles around 100,000 passengers a year. Mining, saw mills and catering for the Russian fishing fleet all help to keep the vibrant little town alive. Board the ship in Kirkenes, the turning point of Hurtigruten, and set out for this thrilling southbound sailing to Trondheim.
Day 3
Hammerfest
Travel along the wonderful scenery of Finnmark’s remarkable nature and experience the high sky and wide horizon of the north. Watch the return of summer in the springtime, as blossoms bloom along the coast covering the coastline in a patchwork of colors. In the period from May to July, the sun never sets – you are in the land of the midnight sun! Hammerfest, the world’s most northerly town boldly claims to be the first in Europe to have electric street lighting. Continuing south, our night stop at Tromsø offers the opportunity to enjoy an optional excursion; the Midnight summer concert in the Arctic Cathedral.
Day 4
Lofoten Islands- Troll Fjord Arrival Svolvær
The memorable sights of the Lofoten Islands will stay with us forever as the ship meanders gently through this stunning network of inlets and isles. It is possible to explore inland here by opting for the overland excursion from Harstad and rejoining the ship in Sortland. Moving on we reach what is the highlight of the voyage for many, where we hope to make a detour into spectacular Troll fjord. As we venture into this dramatic fjord, we stand in awe of the Captain’s prowess and skills of navigation, for the sheer sides of the cliffs seem close enough to touch. Site of a famous battle between local fishermen and wealthy ship owners in 1890, and the echoes of this dramatic history seem to reverberate from Troll fjord’s gnarled rock stone walls. Sailing through the beautiful, mountainous island chains, rising to 1,000 meters’ in places, we can see fishermen’s cabins built on stilts along the waterfront; whilst in the air around us fly a wide variety of seabirds such as puffins, kittiwakes, cormorants and sea eagles. This remarkable day is completed with an evening return to Svolvær and a farewell to the islands at Stamsund.
Day 5
Seven Sisters Mountain – Torghatten
There is further excitement today as the ship crosses the Arctic Circle. Sailing past the famed peaks of the dancing Seven Sisters mountain range, folklore merges with the facts of nature - look out for Torghatten, which still bears the hole made by Hestmannen’s arrow in one of Norway’s popular legends. The award-winning new museum at Rørvik celebrates the important part the sea has played in defining today’s Norway.
Day 6
Arrive Trondheim - Train to Oslo
We have an early arrival in the fascinating medieval city of Trondheim. Spend some time on your own to discover the city. Standing proud against the natural backdrop, its colorful history is reflected in handsome civic architecture. Optional excursions include the medieval Nidaros Cathedral or the enthrilling Ringve Music Museum.

In the afternoon enjoy the fascinating journey to reach Oslo by late evening.
