Tour Rates:
Tour rates are based on airfares, rates and tariffs in effect at the time of printing and are based on the value of the Euro relative to the Scandinavian currencies. Land costs are subject to change dependent on the strength of the Euro. Airfare fluctuations and government imposed increases and taxes may also affect the price of tours.
Tour Cost:
The price of tours described on this website includes land costs in Scandinavia. SV reserves the right to change any arrangement if we deem that to be necessary.
Flights:
Scandinavian Vision will not be responsible for missed or delayed flights or any consequences thereof.
Luggage:
It is the responsibility of the tour participant to claim his/her own luggage from baggage claim at airports and to move the luggage from the arrival area to the transfer points. Size limitations on luggage apply as per the airlines rules and regulations. We advise you to travel lightly for your own comfort. Neither SV nor our associate companies will be responsible for left items.
Tour Extensions:
Scandinavian Vision will gladly work with tour participants desiring to have extra days in specific locations and customize their vacation plan as per valid visa dates. Contact us for your extension options.
Itinerary Variations:
In case of non availability of any sectors, SV reserves the right to make reasonable changes or substitutions to any tour itinerary as we deem necessary, desirable or appropriate.
Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted on motor coaches, airplanes, restaurants, and all accommodations have smoking restrictions.
Cancellations & Refunds:
Following are the cancellation refunds applicable for any cancellations made due to unforeseen circumstances of the participant:
- 60 days prior to departure: 90% of invoice value is refundable
- 59-31 days prior to departure: 75% of invoice value is refundable
- 30-15 days prior to departure: 50% of invoice value is refundable
- 14-1 days prior to departure: 25% of invoice value is refundable
- Canceling after tour commences: No refunds
Please note that the cost of any prearranged flight booking, train, cruise and any initial payment for guaranteeing the tour is non refundable and thus shall be deducted from the above amount.
Cruise Cancelations & Refunds:
- 45 days prior to departure: 85% of invoice value is refundable
- 44-21days prior to departure: 45% of invoice value is refundable
- 20-8 days prior to departure: 25% of invoice value is refundable
- 7-0 days prior to departure: 0% of invoice value is refundable
- Canceling after tour commences: No refunds
Personal Expenses:
Room service, telephone charges, alcoholic beverages, snacks, valet and laundry services, taxis, or museum and site fees when on your own.
Special Meals:
Meals not specified in the itinerary are the responsibility of the tour participant.
Tour Guides & Driver tips:
For group tours, the customary tips to tour escorts, tour guides, and motor coach drivers are not included and should be extended on a voluntary, individual basis as an expression of appreciation. Recommendations on appropriate tips will be sent with other information.
Passports, visas & other identifications:
Travelers to Scandinavia must have a valid passport and visa is required as per the laws of individual countries of origin. All the countries in Scandinavia are covered by Schengen agreement. You may refer to Visa information pages for details. It would be best to check with your travel agent for any advice and information.
We request that you furnish us with a photo copy of the information and picture page of your passport as soon as possible. This facilitates replacement of passports in case of loss or theft, and is necessary for verification of name, age and citizenship when traveling internationally.
Our (Scandinavian Vision) responsibility:
Scandinavian Vision is not responsible for and cannot be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, detention, annoyance, expense or delay arising from (a) quarantine, strikes, force majeure, failure of any vehicle or means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, disturbances, government restrictions or regulations or through the acts or default of any company or persons engaged in conveying the tour participant or providing any tour service and other cases over which we have no control or (b) through any tardiness, misconduct or illegal acts on the part of any tour participant. Compensation for any mishap must be sought in the country where mishap occurred.
SV reserves the right to refuse, accept, or retain any person as a member of any tour at any time.
Exchanging Currency:
We recommend that you change money at banks or foreign exchanges bureaus as they give better rates than hotels.
VAT:
Vat means value added Tax. Vat is refund of taxes on your purchase in Europe, Britain and other European countries. Value added Tax (VAT) is charges on most goods and the same varies from country to country so it is best to check with the shopkeeper before any purchase. Some stores offer relief from VAT under the retail exports scheme. The counter export scheme enables you to take possessions ones of your purchases immediately, together with retail export scheme form. This form must be filled by the shopkeeper and presented together with goods you are exporting to the customs officer for certification by departing the country border / airport, from one country to another. After the bill is certified by the customs, send it to those shopkeepers from whom you made those purchases. The refund will be sent to your address. It is advisable to tell the shopkeeper a making a purchase that you want to claim refund of VAT. You need to show your passport if you wish to take the advantages of the scheme. So do not forget to take it with you when you go for shopping. Some stores specify a minimum value for goods purchase under the scheme.
